Pupil Parliament
At Broom Valley Community School, every child attending school full time gets the opportunity to represent their class on our Pupil Parliament, should they wish to do so. Children are encouraged to stand for election, to tell their classmates why they would be a good Member of Pupil Parliament and what they would try to do if elected. The classes then hold a secret ballot using their democracy skills and two representatives from each class are elected.
“In Pupil Parliament we like to make sure that everyone is listened to, their voice and opinions are heard and we respect each other. We are a diverse and culturally rich family and want everyone to feel valued.” Pupil Parliament Voice.
