Religious Education (RE) at Broom Valley
At Broom Valley, we use Jigsaw RE to deliver a high-quality Religious Education curriculum that supports pupils in exploring their sense of belonging and identity through reflection and self-awareness.
We believe that Religious Education plays a vital role in pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. It fosters respect, understanding and open-mindedness, enabling children to appreciate and value the beliefs and perspectives of others from a range of faiths and backgrounds.

The children had a fantastic afternoon at our EID picnic. The children played pass the parcel and shared delicious food.
KS1 enjoyed a visit from Rev. Justine and Rev. Lizzie from The Rotherham Mister who talked to us about the Easter Story. We used props and religious artefacts to retell the week leading up to Easter Sunday. We loved learning from you, thank you!
We had a fantastic time at our Holi Colour Dash! Holi is a vibrant Hindu 'Festival of Colours' celebrating Spring, love and the triumph of good.
As part of our RE learning, Year 1 enjoyed a visit from Rev. Justine Smith from Rotherham Minster. We enjoyed listening to her share the Christian Easter Story and she retold the events using props and objects, which we really enjoyed!
