Y2 Curriculum

Welcome to Y2’s class page!
Summer term: Our Year 2 team have really enjoyed the last two terms of learning and can't wait to start the final term of the school year. Your teachers are Miss Berry (Y2 Cassia), Mrs Morris (Y2 Cedar) and Miss Eyre (Y2 Cedar).
This term, our topic focus is geography.  In geography, we will be learning all about coasts and comparing a UK coastal area to a non-EU country’s coast whilst building on skills we have developed so far this year including mapping and fieldwork. We will continue to investigate human and physical features of a location as well as using key concepts based on place, space, scale and diversity. Alongside this, we will develop new learning in music as well as revisiting previously taught learning in art, history, RE and DT.
Teachers will share Knowledge Organisers with the children in each subject so they can understand key vocabulary taught and take this home to share with family. Any other information will be on our curriculum pages or you can speak to either Miss Berry, Mrs Morris or Miss Eyre to discuss this.
